It is a bit fun story, I never had the idea I wanted to fly a drone or use that thing but somehow I bought a cheap one just to carry a cheap camera I had. I more or less bought it since I had the camera and the drone was so cheap. I just had that thing in the box for couple of years and tried it twice. In the second fly the drone decided to go away on his own. Good for him.
But I realized I wanted a drone and bought a new one, DJI Mavic Mini, not expensive but with batteries almost 10 times more expensive than the cheap one. But I was hooked. When we had the volcanic eruption in Fagradalsfjall I bought another one, DJI Mavic Pro 2. That one is in the image above. Below is one of the photos of the eruption there.
When I was young I had the dream to be a pilot or at least be able to fly over the country in an airplane. Now I think my drone is satisfying at least some parts of those dreams.
