I could be described as an outdoor person and as such it is perhaps not a big surprise that I go to the mountains as a guide. My formal guiding activities began in year 2011 when I participated as a guide in a hiking program at the Iceland Touring Association, Ferðafélag Íslands or FÍ as it is commonly referred to in Iceland. After that I have been guiding up to 200 day tours and some longer tours as well. Before I started to act as a professional guide I had been organizing some hiking tours with coworkers mostly and my friends of course.
Now two of us are managing this program with in the Iceland Touring Association that consists of two day tours every month.
Apart from that I have also been guiding from time to time for Iceland Mountain Guides (Íslenskir Fjallaleiðsögumenn) both day tours and longer hikes as well. Plan for year 2024:
